Charette: Norgerie’s Birthday

Norgerie celebrates her birthday by sharing a list of five of her favorite things about She Builds Podcast. These are things she has discovered and learned throughout the course of the show and that she hopes will be useful and inspiring to you too.

#5 Feeding the history junkie, letting the nerd flag fly

It’s ok to feed the inner history junkie from time to time. If you’re a little nerd, let your nerd flag fly. Indulge in healthy things that make you happy.

#4 Finding resources.

See links below to a very short list of Norgerie’s favorite resources.

#2 Discovering new mentors and avenues of mentorship

Before starting She Builds Podcast Norgerie thought a mentor was someone in your field, who you met in person, who had more experience than you and guided you in your career. And they had to check all these boxes. But the show taught her, a mentor doesn’t even need to be alive to affect you in positive ways. Through She Builds Podcast she’s gained at least 45 mentors. Each story has something to teach, and push us forward.

#1 Spending time with people I care about

Sharing a project Norgerie, Jessica, Lizi and John care about, and the time they spend together, is one of the best outcomes of starting a podcast. To share a passion, to create something, and really just to be in constant communication is great. Our wish is for all of our listeners to surround themselves with people they love and support them.

Happy June 26!
